Netflix's Magical Algorithm
Is Netflix trying to boost certain shows? Absolutely. And is the magical algorithm at least partially BS also true because they can definitely choose what they want to put in front of people)? Do you think that TV networks have traditionally favored certain shows in promotion? Sure, of course, but that's promotion. That's showing ads. This would be like if NBC could put an ad across all of television and you could click on it and start watching immediately. It's very different from a 30 second spot running during football.
