In november of last year, seppi awarded one of its first grants into broad corona virus vacines to an israeli company, migvac. By the time covid 19 started spreading around the globe, they had data showing that an oral avian coronovars vaccine they were developing was effective in chickens. They are now confident it could be adapted to work in humans as well. And their scientists are planning on harnessing the power of artificial intelligence with the aim of predicting how the virus may evolve and making vacciones for future variants before they become widespread threat.
