Is There a Benefit of Moderating Saturated Fat?

There is no follow up per se and there's no adjustment for other confounders. So in general, ecological data is hypothesis generating. France has a relatively high intake of saturated fat and their mortality of cardiovascular disease doesn't seem to be super high. But they also have a very high rate of smoking. And yet nobody would accept that as an argument that tobacco doesn't affect cardiovascular disease - it's the same type of argument.
