The Importance of a Stable Inflation Rate

Inflation is a good thing, not a bad thing. It gives the Fed more room to stimulate the economy in a recession. A higher inflation rate means lower interest rates. On a blank slate, probably something like 3% would be a better inflation rate to aim for.
