Is Realism the Major Explanatory Theory?
Realism seems to me to have very powerful, predictive and explanatory capacity. But I, by necessity, have to pull in insights from other paradigms or to pay attention to first or second image elements that Kenneth Waltz used to talk about. Realists like myself have become guilty of overstating the differences because we like our product differentiation. There is a side to this about how we ought to behave and how we seek security in this world.
