Imaging Guidelines for Diverticulitis and Diagnostic Challenges

This chapter highlights imaging guidelines for diagnosing diverticulitis from various medical organizations and focuses on the use of CT scans to confirm diagnosis and guide treatment decisions. It also explores cases of misdiagnosis, including a patient with vision loss initially misdiagnosed as metastatic deposits and a case of cognitive errors leading to a missed diagnosis of central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO).
