I love the I always love the Benjamin quote that relates to that when he says that the age of technological reproducibility falsifies the Heraclitus's statement that every man when awake lives in a world of common and when falls asleep in a dream has a world of their own. That's kind of what the spectacle is like as well. It's collective dream world. Truth becomes a moment of illusion or truth becomes a necessary stage through which falsehood has to pass is truth. And the fact that everything is a false choice also, it's not like you can go to the Soviet Union or China and have a more real relationship because those are concentrated spectacles. You get to a personality cult
