The Story of Chromemco
AMI's S-4006 was the first digital camera to use an almost CCD. The Cyclops made the cover of Popular Electronics' February 1975 issue. Chromemco would make gangbusters churning out Cyclopses and eventually become a leader in the S-100 marketplace.
