The History of Judaism

The term Judaism derives from Yudaiismus, which is the Latinized form of the ancient Greek word Yudaiizdane. That's Judah, as in Jad Redlach's conquering lion of Solid Foundation, mentioned in the album Heart of the Congos by Lee Perry. Now we'll be talking quite a bit about Hellenism in the course of this podcast. The term in the classical period is it's a Greek term, and it refers basically to speaking Greek.
