Is There a Conflict Between Assimilation and Survival?

In the book of esther, there's this constant tension between assimilation and survival. It feels familiar for those of us who have spent most of our life kind of living outside of being in the majority. And i think at there's part of bit of a lesson, i think, in the book of Esther. E hadn't absolute we believe that god is everywhere, and all things testify of christ. In some ways, it's nice to have a story that makes us work more closely with God because so often, god's influence doesn't come with a kind of explicit message.
