Book Review - Annabelle

"I feel like, like I understand Annabelle. And I kind of pity her in a way," she says. "It took a while for me to find a way for the book to talk about Annabelle that had enough compassion" She's always hardest on characters who are most like herself; it's hard to have compassion for them when they're so much like you. The writing doesn't come from some other place: It's just trying to follow the characters and see what they can do.
