The actual sheriff in this movie is the mayor from Jaws. The minute he gets on screen I'm like well they're definitely not going to find these kids. It totally bothered me the entire time I was watching it but I never bothered to look it up because I hated the movie so thoroughly. Tom Hanks's character in the movie his name is Robbie but his character is named Pardu.
