The Importance of Top Down Coordination in Media Organizations
CNN's John Sutter says media companies should work together to create a "new public square" for everyone. He suggests top-down coordination between the biggest news organizations in the world, such as Twitter or Facebook. The idea is that they would be able to control their own verification and let people come up with their own content filtering rules. 'We need to sort of like an ombudsman of tech hype every now and then,' he says.
