The Compound Effect of Misattribution on Success

Success is fundamentally a byproduct of both disposition or and situational factors or skill and luck. So misattributions of luck and performance can develop into false expectations on either side of the spectrum. When misattribution systematically differ by diffuse characteristics, it impacts high stake outcomes in the labor market such as pay, promotions and opportunities. If we don't address some of these issues, just from an economic perspective, that's dope, right, it's an inefficient use of resources.
