Playing in Leagues

I used to watch like quite a lot of competitive CS go and one thing I noticed was that the turnover in terms of the Players in the teams was so high. Even in even in solo play since that's what you did mostly. What were your relationships like with other players because I guess you still had friends who were playing league as well, right?
