Is St. Jude a Children's Hospital?

In 2013, an author named Eric Friedman wrote a book called reinventing philanthropy. In it he contrasts what St. Jude's children's are doing to research and treatments for illnesses with the melagi provincial hospital in Angola. He concludes that if every single person who has gotten a TED talk had all of their wealth appropriated tomorrow, we could fund both of these hospitals.
