How to Get Out of the Loop I'm Stuck In

Our last letter of the episode comes from Jamie, who is writing us from West Virginia. Jamie writes: I met this guy when we were both 20 and we pretty much instantly started sleeping together. We've been in and out of one another's lives, dated other people but always circle back around to each other. How do we get out of this loop I'm stuck in or does it mean we're like tethered to one another and maybe soulmates?
