The Importance of Bigger Light Sources

You can't get a really soft look from really small light sources. I would love to have 20 by 20s or 12 by 12s or 8 by 8s, just giant sources whenever we are lighting up a scene. There is also a recent video by Spencer Sakurai where he is demonstrating this and especially in the context of how often people just use a default aperture 32 inch softbox.
