eBPF: A Programming Language for Observability
There's a variety of different types of maps, but they're essentially all kind of key value stores. So you can use them to transfer information between the two and also share them between different BPF programs. And then the maps, of course, give you a way of handling state, which is interesting. When we think about a programming language inside another environment, I might think about Lua in a gaming engine or maybe JavaScript in a web browser.
