How Did You Get to Write Science Fiction?

Ken Liu: My story is both simple and not so simple. It's simple in that I'm the writer and I write stories, I tell stories. In some ways that was what attracted me to computer programming the first place. The whole idea of the flexibility of software was stringing the appealing thing. He says he always thought about literature in this very meta form. "I've been struck over and over again by how what I intended to saying the story is not what readers read out of it"
