Engulfment, a Fear of Losing One's Autonomy

The concept of engulfment is seen as a fear of losing one's autonomy and identity. Implosion, to me felt like the i think it'st in my view, it's the least essential of the three. I see it comparing, in aloto, an enfolding over in a lot of different ways to petrification. But that could just be a result of a misreading. And because it has emptiness involved, i don't know where to start.
