The Head Protects the Heart

There are many things that other people might be thinking about us that we don't want to know about. We may not want to really know what the other person thinks of ourselves. And so often we have blinders. At at relatively low levels, this may be highly functional. But i think it safe to say that the ability to read other people's minds is the worst thing that could happen to us.
