Is Scaling a Good Idea?

It would be a mistake to go to your domain experts and say, what are the features. And why do we need to scale our features to get them on a level playing field? That's how you develop business equipment one of the things as well. But there are some times where feature engineering is absolutely important. You can even drop the original feature in favor of an engineered feature. So this is, to me there's this ongoing debate my mind. Should I do feature engineering before feature reduction?"
