CHAPTER

Yung's Private Versin With Philammon

The seven sermons to the dead were written by basilides in alexandria, the city where the east toucheth the west. Young paradoxically created a private and a public version of the same work - one seemingly leaving out a pivotal character; the other crediting the text to a gnostic philosopher from nearly two thousand years ago. We will unpack the potential reasons for this distinction later on. For now, we will be using the public version, which you can find in memory's dreams reflections.
