Liberalism has policy, but it has a plan. The man of the system thinks she can move people in a great society as easily as moving pieces on a chess board. Most of our life, when you really look at it sociologically, isn't run by the state. And we must never forget that much of our life is spontaneous orders in the middle. There's a tendency for liberals to say very claustrophobic things like 'don't bother me I won't bother you'
