The film I really want to talk about is from 1957, Woman in a Dressing gown by J.D. Thompson starring Yvonne Mitchell and Anthony Quail. Do the family in this film live in a Frankfurt flat? It certainly looks like it could be efficient, but that's not how it works in the film. We see in the film Amy trying and failing to get on top of her domestic duties - which she doesn't quite do partly because she's listening to the third programme. That's us.
