The Intensity of the Fire in the Value Jet

The fire was so intense that, like I said, it softened the metal, started melting it. The seats in the cabin began to sag into the wheel wells. And by the time the gear was extended, the fire had burned through the seat harness and caused passengers to start falling from the plane. It's also the speed of the wind, you know, exerting more force on it, kind of tearing it apart. So the planes seem to still be controllable at this point until they suddenly pointed downward at a 70 degree angle, crashed and exploded.
