The Senate Inquiry Into Santaos's Barossa Project
Santaos has an existing project off the waters of Timor Leste. And that's why this bill is necessary because it wouldn't be in Australian waters. This means Australia can start regulating both the import and export of CO2 streams for sequestration into sub-seabed geological formations sooner rather than waiting for 2009 amendment to come into force.
