Is Data an Asset or a Liability?

Banks are using machine learning models against your transaction history so that they can understand what looks a typical for mike. But at the same time, i think it's not necessarily translating outwards and how yound. It could be that they're afraid of how to expose that data externally. I talk about this a little bit in the book, but not a lot, and that is that often people think data is an asset. In real life we don't have those kinds of things. We don't have a single sort of truth for the news, or for any other aspect of our lives. And i want to build systems that operate in that sme way.
