This policy change means that Twitter will now allow more cannabis ads compared to other platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. According to a blog post by Twitter, the company is now allowing advertisers to promote brand preference and informational cannabis related content for CBD, THC, and other cannabis related products and services. However, advertisers must follow specific guidelines when promoting their products. They must be pre-approved by Twitter and can only target users in locations where they're licensed to promote cannabis products and Services. Ads also cannot promote or offer the sale of cannabis except for some topical CBD products.
