From two thousand eight to 20 13, the supreme court sided amicus briefs 606 times. In 417 opinions between the 19 94 and two thousand three terms, the court's majority opinion referenced an amicus brief only 38 percent of the time. If the attorney's submitting the amicus brief has significant experience be for the court it would be more likely that their brief would be placed in higher priority pile.
