We are profoundly superficial people. We're just interested in the surface, the look of things. No glass of wine is never better than it tastes. No work of sculpture better than it looks. And it's the seeing that's the thing. You see, hitler should really have built in his own image. It would be something like juba, or some ghastly, you irististopia. But he didn't. That's the great problem. i think the architecture of the sae is absolutely fundamental to the mystery of our total society melt down. If it hadn't been for adolp hitler, we would still be building proper classical buildings.
