The Methodological Flaws in Abohair and Qab
There are other methodological flaws that are associated with these polemics involving Abohair and Qab. One of them is that many of the traditions described to Qab are actually inauthentic, and what is authentic to him is relatively sparse compared to a lot of figures. A lot of these traditions of Qab on the Fittan and the story, they're from these obscure Syrian sources. So obviously, if you want to make the argument that Qab is influencing the Sahaba, if the actual tradition from Qab is inauthentic in the first place, that's an inconsistency.
