Stark: I think there's a common idea that the way ideas matter in history is that you you get by and from large groups of people. But i don't think that's quite right, stewart says. He points to ancient philosopher epicurus as an early signpost for what we're looking at today. Stewart: It's like a treasure hunt. You're seeing the sign post of these ideas that had been really down played by most people for hundreds of years. Why did this guide in this weirdest possible place be espousing these ideas? And i can trace the impact of these ideas all the way back thousands of years? That's pretty fascinating stuff.
