If you are a very early stage company and it's taking you a year to fund raise, that's probably pretty bad. You should be prepared to take six months a year. This is the c e o's job. If you are lucky enough to have co founders who can do other things, have them do others too. That will help you not completely stop progress on the business while you're fund raising. And in fact, you shouldn't bring the entire team to meetings for the following reason: professional investors professionally negotiate and make offers.
