I feel like there's also an ideological component where, specifically, platforms like youtube and platforms like facebook, they were creating an outlet that gave everyone a voice. And so for them, there would be a conflict of actually making an art museum that elevated one level of cultural production above all others. So it was actually antithetical to their process of how they understood and wanted to shape society. Once the gate keepers were eliminated from these platforms and eliminated from media, it's been really disastrous for the discourse Like it has gotten, i think, measurably, by all indications, a worse, and certainly to the detriment of some of these platforms.
