Py, Geo API and Map Proxy
PIGU API can be used as a proxy to convert an external first generation service into a newer service. Py, Geo API does implement the OGC API tiles specification and it does that by primarily connecting to a set of static tiles underneath. There is discussion from a plugin perspective to be able to build those tiles dynamically and seed those tiles on demand. So we can start to think about accelerated OGC API feature services or accelerated OGCAPI coverage services.
