What Happens When a Bank Doesn't Need Money?
In a normal bank, the depositor and borrower are two different people. But in Silicon Valley you can be both deposits and customers. Why is this? It's because there was no shortage of cash in Silicon Valley - everybody wants to give these companies money. So they had to deposit money somewhere else. There isn't a great demand that Silicon Valley for finance, because it's all been pre-finance by somebody else.
