The World War I - A Memoir
Jung had a thrice repeated dream that in the middle of summer an arctic cold wave descended and froze the land to ice. The idea of war did not occur to him at all. Jung felt like his unconscious was trying to communicate with him, trying to tell him something. He mentions an inner voice telling him, look at it well, it is wholly real and it will be so. You cannot doubt it. His river of blood vision was in October of 1913 and reoccurred in the weeks following. His killing frost dreams were in April, May, and June 1914. World War I began in July of 1914.
