Penny Lane Is Whon I'm Missing
Penny lane shows a very strong beech boy's influence. If you listend to the verse of wouldn't it be nice by the beach boys iaateaola maeaaa and to the verse, penny lanethere is a ba photograph. You can hear that they are both variants on the same basic chord sequence, though they go in different directions. They both have general melodic shapes, and they both have the same strong, bright, staccato rhythm. This is not to say that mac cartney ripped off the beach boy's song or anything like that. This is just a case of him hearing something and doing his own version of the same idea.
