Samsung's Bricking a Smart TV? Is It a Big Deal?

I don't think that it's good that they're shutting thoset tevees. The more interesting thing about this is that people aren't thinking so much about all the snooping that's going on. It did cross my mind that some black hat slash, i don't know, totally murky, gray hat hacker could find out how sam sung's doing this bricking and repeat it on all of them. I mean, no one's done this to them yet, but can you imagine that everybody just bricks all their t ves? That would be a loud and clear message sent to sam sung, but it would also leave, like, millions of consumers in the lurch
