Law firm that filed proposed initiative also worked on proposition 22, which passed in 20 20. That proposition basically lowed those companies to sidestep a california law requiring them to classify drivers and delivery workers as employees. A spokesman for the campaign would not say exactly whwas behind proposed initiative. But once the campaign starts spending money, we'll be able to find out.
