How do minds give rise to supernatural agents and the gods? well that's a great question I mean I argue in the book and as we've been saying earlier I think supernatural agents are critical to understanding all types of religiosity. There are very few religions that don't postulate supernatural agents so it's a central feature of religion so it needs to be understood. One theory is that supernatural agents are real you know and so we perceive them just like we perceive any any others.
