Transforming the Classroom
Students are always at a linguistic and cultural intersection. You've got american born students as well as first generation students, sometimes in your class. And then you take into account all the psycho social factors that students go through to so those all play a part. But what i try to do is to be aware of how knowledge is being socially constructed in my courses. Just reaching out to them with an email can oftentimes make a difference in their academic trajectory.
