What Is the Problem With Style Guides?

Style guides provide a clear, shared language between enge design product and everybody else of the company around what components are available. It's really helpful when looking at a speck, to be able to say, clearly, this should be gray forty five. We now have a living style guide that is the canonical source of truth for what our sight should look like. But it may be worth distinguishing between the style guide, which isbasically just a page with a bunch of stuff listed, versus the actual components that comprise the style guide.
