Is It Bush-Like People Died Over Here?
It's so easy to reduce it down to this silly notion that a couple of people made the wrong decisions. But it wasn't, you know, it was a world in shock. It was a public with bloodlust. This thing was hardwired, hardwired into the machinery of government and relied on bad information. The West believed not only that we had won every argument, but our specific brand of democracy was best even if we imposed it on them.
