What's the Problem With the Bouncing?
I remember thinking, okay, Mercedes are in this. You know, we'd worked really hard. And then turned up in Monaco and it was a lot of sad faces. We created a fundamental problem early on in the design that we needed to undo. And why we've made big steps in, and we've got to a position where at certain races we're competitive. It's just been the sort of fight you have to bring from there. Turning up in a year when it's your first car as a technical director, having had eight years of success to suddenly find it's not quick is not a great feeling.
