What Is Grounding?

Grounding is understanding the connection between a representation that lives in our brain, or representation that lives on a computer, and the real world. Even if there was a meaning at some point that these we could ascribe to this language model's understanding, it's not the same meaning that we understand. It's a different thing based on the objectives that they were provided a of what kind of task they were trying to solve. I think maybe wison that distinction.
