The Oldest Evidence of Humans Eating Snails
Researchers in southern Africa may have found the oldest evidence of humans eating snails. The shell fragments date back to between 70,000 and 170,000 years ago. This is also similar to other finds that we've talked about in recent installments of unearthed discoveries. In other Pompeii news archaeologists working at the temple of Isis have found the remains of dozens of birds which they believe were eaten possibly for ceremonial reasons.
