The Importance of Expert Judgment in AI Development

If GPT-4 wanted to be malicious, it's not impossible for such a thing to exist because we have them. I don't think that stopping all development is a realistic scenario. There are an increasing number of people who are very serious students of AI and some of its godfathers who are increasingly worried about this kind of thing. But I'd have to look more into the kinds of mitigations they're suggesting.
